Based in Stoke-on-Trent, England, Goodwin Steel Castings Ltd. has been a supplier of machined castings for nearly 130 years since its formation in 1883 and it is one of the 10 oldest companies listed on the UK Stock Exchange.
The foundry, which employs 200 people, is supported by its sister company, Goodwin International Ltd., located 5km away which carries out machining, fabrication and assembly work on the castings produced by the foundry. The Goodwin machine shop employs 300 people in its CNC machining facility.
In 1983 - to acknowledge 100 years of successful engineering the company was awarded its own Coat of Arms - the motto being "On fonde pour le monde" - One founds for the world.
The company supplies large machined castings from 200kg to 18,000kg, fabricated castings to 30,000kg and assemblies up to 100,000kg in materials from carbon steel all the way through to super nickel alloys.
